Abstract

151,450. Marichal, G. G. O. Aug. 26, 1919. Burglar alarms. -A door stop and burglar alarm, of the kind comprising a pivoted wedge adapted to close electric contacts in a bell circuit, is made with an incline member 11 pivoted in a base member 1 on a pin 9 at a point about one-third of its length from one end, the portion in front of the pivot forming a wedgeshaped nose, and the rear portion carrying a contact strip 12 of silvered flexible metal. Electric contacts 4 are carried by a block 3 of insulating- material attached to a vertical lug 14 on the base member. The rear end of the incline member is bent over and normally rests against the bottom edge of an opening 13 in the lug 14. The members are formed from sheet metal blanks, with side lugs 8, 10 to receive the pivot pin. Hooks 2 for engagement with the floor are formed on the base-member.
