Abstract

1512627 Driving arrangements for dynamoelectric machines MARLDON (ENG SPECIALTIES) LTD 12 June 1975 [19 June 1974] 27085/74 Heading H2A The drive member 1 and driven member 4 of an axial air gap magnetic coupling are relatively movable transverse to their axes of rotation to vary the torque transmitted. As shown the drive member 1 is driven by an electric motor 20 and the two are transversely movable on a slide 23. The drive member 1 and motor 20 may also move axially on a slide 22 to vary the torque transmission by varying the air gap between members 1 and 4. In a modification, Fig. 7 (not shown) the slide 23 is omitted and the electric motor 20 and the driven member 4 are mounted on respective pivots.
