Abstract

1512371 Packaging vehicle radiators COVRAD Ltd 2 July 1975 [10 April 1974] 15801/74 Heading B8C Vehicle radiators are packaged by assembling a stack thereof on a base member placing a top member on the upper side of the stack, locating support members between the base and top members at the stack corners to support the top member from the base member, enveloping the stack and at least a portion of the base and top members in heat shrinkable material, and applying heat thereto in order to shrink it into close contact with the stack. As described, bands may encircle the stack, the heat shrinkable material enveloping thetopmember, bands and support members. The support member may be L-shaped in cross-section and have at their upper ends a support to facilitate stacking of the packages. Caps may be placed over the inlet and outlet pipes of the radiators to prevent damage to adjacent radiators. Packing material may be placed between adjacent radiators and a drying agent, e.g. silica gell may be provided in the package.
