Abstract

1512143 Headrest RECARO GmbH & CO 2 March 1976 [26 March 1975] 08279/76 Heading A4J A headrest for a car seat comprises a pair of mounting rods 15 pivotally connected to mounting bodies 10 attached to the inner surfaces of both the front and rear walls 4', 6' of a hollow frame 2 about which a cushion 1 is foamed. The bodies each comprise a pair of side plates 11 inter-connected by a yoke 20 and having bent over sections 12 welded to the front and rear walls. Aligned apertures in the side plates receive a bolt 13 which pivotally connects the mounting body to its respective rod. The yoke is provided with an aperture 17 through which the upper end of the mounting rod extends, the edges of the aperture limiting pivotal movement of the rods. Friction discs 16 together with an appropriate clamping force exerted on the two side plates 11 by the bolt 13 and a nut 14 hold the headrest in position.
