Abstract

1511457 Cellular plaster HOECHST AG 30 July 1976 [1 Aug 1975] 31866/76 Heading C1H [Also in Division B1] In a continuous method of making a cellular plaster (see also Division B1) a foam is made by introducing air into an aqueous surfactant solution which is then continuously mixed with water and gypsum. The surfactant solution comprises a mixture of substantially equal parts of two components. Component I consists of 27À5% C 10 -C 12 aliphatic alcohol ether sulphate; 6À0% C 12 -C 14 alphatic alcohol ether sulphate; 5À0% sodium salt of oleic acid-N methyl tauride; 7À5% C 16 -C 18 olefin sulphonate; 3À5% of a 5% blend of an alcohol having up to 12 carbon atoms in a 1:1 by weight mixture of butyl diglycol and ethanol; 12À5% butyl diglycol; all percentages being by weight, and the balance being water. Component II consists of: 11À5% C 10 -C 12 aliphatic alcohol ether sulphate; 10À0% sodium salt of oleic acid-N-methyl tauride; 6À0% C 16 -C 18 olefin sulphonate; 25À0% butyl diglycol; the balance being water.
