Abstract
1510583 Coffee preparation GENERAL FOODS CORP 26 March 1976 12283/76 Heading A2B The stimulatory effect of methyl xanthines, mainly caffeine, present in foodstuffs, particularly coffee, tea and cocoa beverages, is counteracted by the addition of pyridine compounds to the food stuff. Exemplified pyridine compounds are nicotinic acid, nicotinamide, trigonelline, pyridoxine, quinolinic acid, 3- hydroxymethyl pyridine, and salts and mixtures thereof.
