1510558 Moulded plastics-metal trim strips PEBRA GmbH PAUL BRAUN 30 Jan 1976 [1 Feb 1975] 03857/76 Heading B6G [Also in Division B5] A vehicle trim strip comprises an elongate shaped metal strip having at least one shaped plastics part applied to the outward face thereof by injection moulding and bonded thereto by a coating of heat-activated adhesive on the metal strip, said part extending lengthwise of the strip and including at least one integral end closure for the end of the strip. The inward face of the strip may bear a stud or similar element for securing the strip to the vehicle or a mounting into which an element of metal or harder plastics is embedded during moulding for securing the strip to the vehicle. The adhesive may be activated before or during moulding, e.g. by the heat of the injected plastics.
