Abstract

1510544 Multiple glazing unit SAINTGOBAIN INDUSTRIES 10 Sept 1975 [12 Sept 1974] 37233/75 Heading E1R A multiple glazing unit comprises three sheets 11, 12, 13, the intermediate sheet 13 is not more than 5 m.m. from one of the outer sheets; the air spaces between sheets 11 and 13 and between sheets 12 and 13 are connected so that air flow from one to the other is restricted according to the dimensions of the unit. The frame 14 has a channel 15 in which the sheet 13 is mounted, the channel having grooves 16 which allow air flow past the sheet. Alternatively, sheet 13 may be mounted on felt strips (Fig. 1 not shown). The frame is hollow and may contain hygroscopic material. The outer sheets and the frame are held together by the sealing compound 17. For Figure see next column
