Abstract
1510094 Condensing steam VSES TEPLOTEKHNICHE NI INST IM FE DZERZHIN 27 Jan 1977 03447/77 Heading B1B [Also in Divisions F1 and F4] In a steam turbine plant the second feedheater 5 in a series disposed between condenser 1 and boiler 2 is of direct contact type divided by partitions 31, 32 into a top section 33 receiving heating steam via bleed line 23 from a stage of turbine 28, a centre section 34 receiving heating steam via line 36 from rotor seals 29 and connected to condenser 1 via an emergency overflow line 37 incorporating water seal 38, and a bottom section 35 which serves as a water compartment and is connected to the next feedheater 6 in the series. Condensate is supplied from the first feedheater 4 via line 39 to spray device 74 in top section 33, the latter also containing an air/steam extraction device 76. Modified constructions of feedheater 5 are illustrated in Figs. 3, 5; 6 (not shown).
