Abstract

1509965 Basic dye granulates CIBA-GEIGY AG 3 July 1975 [4 July 1974] 28119/75 Heading D1B Non-caking, non-dusting readily water soluble granules of cationic dyes comprise 1 to 80 per cent by weight of a cationic dyestuff, optionally 1 to 10 per cent by weight of one or more auxiliaries, dissolved in a melt of 20 to 99 per cent by weight of at least one water-soluble organic melt material having a melting point of 35 to 200‹C and which is selected from ethylene oxide adducts that have been obtained by reaction of ethylene oxide with compounds containing active hydrogen atoms, the sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid esters thereof and carboxymethylated ethylene oxide adducts. Auxiliaries include water-solubilising lactams and amides, organic acids e.g. maleic acid, monochloroacetic acid, p-toluenesulphonic acid, and oxides e.g. silicon dioxide, aluminium dioxide, and silica-alumina to improve the granule form.
