1509587 Polysaccharide containing compositions AJINOMOTO CO INC 19 Aug 1975 34459/75 Heading A5B An anti-tumor composition comprises (i) a polyene selected from lycopene, α-carotene, #-carotene, γ-carotene, lutein, astacene, bixin. renieratene, vitamin A 1 , vitamin A 2 , vitamin A acid, retinene 1, retinene 2, or their derivatives and antibiotic polyenes, e.g. variotin, lusomycin, amphotericin A, amphotericin B, fumagellin, antimycoin, ascosin, aureofacin, AYF. nystatin, candicidin A and B, candidin A and B, candimycin, chromin, endomycin A, endomycin B, eurocidin, filipin, flavacid, fungichromin, fungichromatin, mediocidin PA150, PA153, PA166, pimaricin, pratocidin vimocidin, sistomycosin, trichomycin and lagosin, and their derivatives and (ii) an "anti-tumor polysaccharide" (as defined) selected from antitumor glucans and anti-tumor mucopolysaccharides.
