Abstract

1508179 Spray-producers L R NELSON CORP 5 May 1975 [6 May 1974 8 July 1974] 18759/75 Heading B2F [Also in Division Fl] A lawn sprinkler includes a drive mechanism consisting of a hydraulic turbine 131, Fig. 5, rotating a shaft 44 via magnetic coupling 134, 136 and a planetary reduction gear 135 contained in a sealed housing 78, 79. The arc of rotation of the spray head can be set by movable stops 62, 63 which when abutted by a lever 51 on the head cause a fluidic switching arrangement (Figs. 6 to 8 not shown) to reverse turbine 131. The shape of the spray. jet leaving nozzle 24 can be altered by adjustment of diffuser 26. Nozzle 24 is disposed within a trunnion 30 adjustable in a vertical plane.
