Abstract

1507449 Rotary positive-displacement fluidmachines DRESSER EUROPE SA 11 March 1975 [14 Dec 1973] 58189/73 Heading F1F In a fluid-flow meter having a rotor 10 with blades 10b co-operating with a gate rotor, or "idler", 11 movement of the blades through a part-annular passage 9 inter-connecting inlet and outlet ports for the working fluid is detected by a magnetic proximity switch 25. Gears 20, 22, 23 synchronize the rotations of the rotor 10 and idler 11. It is indicated that the switch, or another electrical detector, may respond to rotation of some other part of the meter. The housing may be made of cast aluminium alloy or a plastics material. The meter may be incorporated in a liquid-fuel dispensing apparatus, Fig.1 (not shown).
