Abstract

1504903 Windings for dynamo-electric machines ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 22 May 1975 [25 July 1974] 22152/75 Heading H2A A stator, for an electrical machine comprises at least one pair of poles and a respective coil disposed around a core portion 6 of each pole, each coil being provided, at least in places, with a coating of insulating material 26 conforming to the shape of the coil, all the coils being mechanically joined together to form a winding assembly which is coated on all sides with an enclosing layer of resilient insulating material. The machine shown has four poles 2, 3, 4, 5 carrying respective coils 7, 8, 9, 10 which are all made of wound metal strip and are mechanically and electrically joined together by their end portions 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16, 17, 19, 20. During assembly the coils are provided with insulating material 26 of plastics material, rubber, pressboard or paper and the resilient insulating layer is applied by immersing the complete winding assembly in a bath of molten insulation prior to mounting the assembly on the poles.
