1504611 Automatic exchange systems SIEMENS AG 14 May 1975 [31 May 1974] 20262/75 Heading H4K A processor controlled switching system includes an additional control processor which takes over the control of special service calls in response to jump instructions in the main control processor. The figure shows subscriber stations T1 connectibie via a network K to local, outgoing, special service and incoming connection sets JS, GS, SS, and KS respectively and to dialling sets WS. The connection sets are connectible via switching devices F with control devices R1 to Rs which assume data processing for items of data detected and forwarded by connection sets. The main control processor ST is connected to a line scanner TS, marker E, dialling set selector LS, translator Zt and via bus B to the dialling sets WS, control devices R1 to Rs and to the additional control processor which with the aid of a translator ZW deals with special service calls. The connection sets JS, GS, SS, KS and control devices R1 to Rs are also constructed as stored program controlled processors with plug in program modules. If during a call the main control processor ST determines by use of translator Zt that the caller is entitled to special services or has dialled a special service code, a jump instruction transfers the control of that call to the special service processor SW. The latter may determine that no special service is required and by a further jump instruction return control to the main processor. Particular special services mentioned are abbreviated dialling, call diverting and conference connections. Calls involving another exchange employing different types of signalling may be treated as special service calls.
