Abstract

1503902 Preparation of dyebaths H HUSTLER 21 Feb 1975 [21 Nov 1973] 53986/73 Heading D1B Dyebaths are prepared by forming an aqueous solution of a conventional water-soluble dye which is then added to a mixture of an emulsifying agent and perchloroethylene the resulting emulsion then being fractionally distilled to give a perfect solution of the dyestuff in perchloroethylene which solution is used to dye man-made or natural fibres. The emulsifying agent is preferably a derivative of ethanol and sulphosuccinate which may be recovered and reused. Nylon, polyester and wool may be dyed.
