Abstract

1500707 Sterilizing solutions containing hydrogen peroxide INTEROX CHEMICALS Ltd 29 July 1975 [12 Aug 1974] 35491/74 Heading A5E A sterilizing solution contains hydrogen peroxide in purified water, a phosphate stabilizer (e.g. sodium hydrogen pyrophosphate) and optionally a nitrate (e.g. ammonium nitrate) for when the solution is to be stored in contact with aluminium. The solutions find application primarily for sterilizing soft contact lenses, but also for sterilizing hard contact lenses, food container liners, surgical implants and medical instruments.
