1497204 Microorganism support material M KATO 20 Jan 1976 2206/76 Heading C 1C [Also in Divisions B4-B5 F3-F4 and F2] A plurality of high density polyethylene mesh tubes D (Fig. 6) for use in sewage disposal systems, are fused together at their ends B' to form a bundle. The tubes are bundled (a) as shown in Fig. 6; (b) include also a central tube; (c) are each twisted (see Fig. 4); (d) define a polygon, or (e) define a straight line. Bundles can be interconnected. A method of fusing the tubes together to form upper and lower integral rims B' is described (see Divisions B4-B5). Single layer mesh tubes are used, or double layer tubes employed as in Figs. 6 and 7. A plurality of flared, short mesh tubes E are abutted within a single long tube D, the outermost short tubes E being held in place by a shoulder F' or by heat welding. The bundle of tubes is said to be mounted twisted on a horizontal shaft, which rotates to take the tubes into and out of the sewage.
