Abstract

1496811 Coupling buoyant units MACKLEYACE Ltd 23 Jan 1976 [27 Jan 1975] 3378/75 Heading B7S Construction units 1, 1a, e.g. parts of a pontoon, are interconnected by a coupling member 40 with tapered projections 44 engaging staple members 8 on units 1, 1a and an apertured part 41 secured to apertured lugs 11 on the units by pins or bolts. The units may have detachable skirt portions, Figs. 2 and 5 (not shown), for forming a gas or liquid cushion, the skirt portions being stowable within the units for transport. Skirt-carrying units may be partly filled with foam material for buoyancy.
