Abstract

1495930 Cassette covers M M BENNETTROBERTSON 2 Dec 1974 [3 Dec 1973 21 Dec 1973 17 June 1974] 56006/73 59391/73 and 26744/74 Heading B8P A cover for a tape cassette or cartridge comprises two side pieces 11 and an intermediate piece 13 situated between the pieces 11 and having a rectangular recess opening on one edge of the piece 13 to receive the cassette or cartridge. As described a cassette cover comprises pieces 11, 13 of cardboard joined along their edges 15, 16, e.g. by adhesive tape, or, as shown, flaps 22. The piece 13 is smaller than the pieces 71 and has a cut-out 14 to receive a cassette. Lugs on the cassette may engage the side walls 17, 19 of the recess 14 or the walls may have resilient balls 27 thereon for engaging in recesses in the cassette. Alternatively the pieces are of plastics material metal or wood, or a combination of materials. A pair of cassettes may be held in a single cover by providing two intermediate pieces between the side pieces. In a further construction the side pieces and intermediate piece are separate and held together by an outer cover.
