Abstract

1494005 Swimming pools INTCHIM Ltd 30 April 1976 [5 May 1975] 18807/75 Heading A4N A swimming pool comprises a vertical perimeter wall 12 formed of structural panels and having its upper periphery lying in a generally horizontal plane, a first portion 24 of the wall extending around a shallow section and vertically downwardly to a generally horizontal floor 14, and a second portion thereof extending around the rest of the pool and vertically downwardly from said plane to a depth less than that of the first portion 24. The rest of the pool includes a base 15 and inclined side walls (16), (17), Fig. 1 (not shown), 18, and 19, the two pool sections being united by projections (20), 21. The portion 24 is advantageously three to four feet in depth and the pool, apart from the wall may be formed by an excavation. The pool may have a liner, or, in a further embodiment, six inclined walls, Fig. 6 (not shown) forming part of the deeper section.
