Abstract

1493952 Rollers A C GUERIN 19 Nov 1974 [22 Nov 1973] 50013/74 Heading F2U [Also in Division A1] A roller for the treatment of land or cinder tracks comprises an apertured member, such as a hollow cylinder 6, and a conveyer screw 5 which is secured to both the hollow cylinder and a shaft 1 and is of radial height greater than twothirds of radius of the roller. The hollow cylinder 6 may be formed of expanded metal 7 or bars 8 and the conveyer screw 5 may be formed by blades. The roller may be supported by lugs 4 on a jack mounted on a rotary or reciprocating harrow hitched to a tractor. The ends 9 of the roller are provided with apertures 11 to permit the discharge of any material which has passed into the roller.
