Abstract

1493785 Tumbler drier BOSCH-SIEMENS HAUSGERATE GmbH 23 June 1976 [5 Sept 1975] 26030/76 Heading F4G A laundry drier comprises a horizontal perforated drum 4 rotatably mounted in a carrier 1, made of a foamed thermoplastics material, e.g. a polycarbonate which embraces a major portion of the lower half of the drum. The carrier 1 houses a blower 3 which directs air, heated at 10, towards the perforations in the drum, the air leaving the drier at 2 through a lint sieve 20. Bearing surfaces 14 on the carrier 1 may be made of steel or a synthetic material.
