1490125 Electro-phoretic aluminium depostion ROLLS-ROYCE Ltd 7 April 1976 [23 April 1975] 16731/75 Heading C7B A water dispersion of 1-4 parts A1 powder to 1 part of a thermosetting acrylic resin is electrophoretically deposited on a metal and the coating heated to cure the resin. Al of 5-10Á dia. may be used. A voltage of 15-100V, with a c.d. not above 200mA/in<SP>2</SP> and curing at 190‹C for 2 hours are specified. A Cr steel, Ti or Ni superalloy may be coated.
