Abstract

There are prepared novel phenylene dioxamates of the following formula <IMAGE> in which the substituents are defined in Claim 1. These compounds are obtained by reacting an appropriately substituted m- or p-diaminophenylene compound with an oxalic acid ester halide containing the radical R1 or R2 or a di-R1 or R2 oxalate. The compounds of the formula I are converted into the corresponding half-acids by hydrolysis. Monometal or monamine salts can be prepared from the latter. The compounds obtained can be used for the treatment of allergies.
