Abstract

1488790 Reciprocating pumps COSTER TECNOLOGIE SPECIALI SpA 20 May 1976 [22 May 1975] 20813/76 Heading F1A A manually-operated atomizer pump for mounting on a container C, e.g. for perfume or medicine, comprises a piston 7, 8 having a through-passage 11, 12 controlled by a gasket 10 movable axially in a piston groove 9 and slidable with the piston in a cylinder 15, the gasket closing the throughpassage during the upward, suction stroke of the piston by spring 14, and opening the throughpassage during the downward, discharge stroke by manual pressure applied to spray button 1. The cylinder has an inlet valve 18 and passages 23, 24, closed by gasket 10 in the rest position shown, for intake and exhaust of air to and from the container via the space above gasket 10 and clearance between piston stem 7 and mounting cup opening 26.
