Abstract

148,856. Fleischer, K. July 4, 1917, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Blocks and shoes.-Removable blocks are secured to the block holder by a spring member which can be turned about a pivot on the holder to engage the block. The means for attaching the block d to the holder a may comprise a dovetail-shaped projection c, Figs. 5 and 7, on the hoder which slides laterally into a correspondinglyshaped recess in the block d, correct positioning being effected by a projection g on the holder engaging a recess in the block. The block is secured against lateral displacement by a spring k pivoted at m and having a projection o which engages in recesses n, p, in the holder and block. The surfaces of the recesses p are inclined inwardly and upwardly in cross-section, the recess p extending beneath the under surface of the holder a so that the projection o engages with this surface to retain the member k in the operative position. The surfaces b<2>, b<3> are conical. The block may instead be shaped as in Fig. 11, and the projection g on the holder be in the form of a short flange against which the outer side face of the block abuts.
