1486896 Vehicle wheels DUNLOP Ltd 22 Nov 1974 [23 Nov 1973] 54385/73 Heading B7C In a two part vehicle wheel rim, both the bead seats 3, 4 (23, 24) are provided on one rim part, and the two parts when secured together, after placing a tyre on the one part, cause the toe portion 14 (34) of one tyre bead to sealingly engage a ramp portion 13 (33). The bead seat 3 (23) is parallel or substantially parallel with the wheel axis, and either the rim base includes a well 15 to facilitate mounting of a tyre or the rim base is flat with the seat adjacent the ramp portion being of a smaller diameter than the bead seat remote from the ramp portion. Either of the two parts may be integral with the wheel disc 1 (21).
