Abstract
1485650 Adjustable hinge mountings BLUM GmbH 12 Dec 1974 [24 Dec 1973 31 Dec 1973] 53841/74 Heading E2F In a hinge of the type in which a U-section hinge arm 7 is adjustably associated with a mounting plate 1 secured to an article to be hinged (e.g. the inside face of a cupboard side wall), a U-section intermediate member 2 engages the mounting plate and is secured via an adjustment part 3 to the hinge arm; an adjustment screw 6 allowing movement of the part 3 toward and away from the part 2 and a clamping screw 5 acting between the hinge arm and part 3. Member 2 has projections 13 that slidably engage plate I for easy assembly and has a spring bar 4 that locks into a socket in the assembled position. Hinge arm 3 can slide along part 3 when screw 5 is loosened. A further embodiment is disclosed (Figs. 4, 5 not shown) having the additional feature of adjustment of the intermediate part relative to the plate in a direction at right angles to the plane of Fig. 1. This feature is the subject of Specification 1485649.
