Abstract

1485436 I C engine fuel injection systems ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 11 Oct 1974 44139/74 Heading F1B Injectors 1, supplied by a pump 2 via a pressure regulator 3 and a fuel metering and distributing device 4 including adjustable throttles 5, each comprise a valve-member 8 connected to a diaphragm 9. The diaphragm 9 is subject to the fuel pressure in the valve opening direction and the force of a spring 11 in the closing direction, the spring having a negligible effect upon the pressure drop at the respective throttle 5. The spring chamber may be connected to atmosphere and a bore 13 provided in the member 8 for air to flow with fuel through the orifice 12 to an air intake manifold. The regulator 3 provides a constant pressure upstream of the device 4.
