Abstract

1484737 Incinerators KUBOTA TEKKO K K 22 Jan 1975 [26 Nov 1974] 2864/75 Heading F4B Sewage sludge is dried and comminuted in a mill 3 with the gases from a dust extractor 16 in the flue of an incinerator 6, the dried sludge being fed to the incinerator by a screw conveyer 5 at mid height and the sludge is completely dried and burnt in a "boiling" fluidized bed without any auxiliary inert bed material in the lower inverted frusto-conical or pyramidal part of the furnace with air preheated by the furnace gases and delivered below the grate 7. An auxiliary burner and auxiliary air supply above the fluidized bed completes the combustion, the ash being carried out of the furnace with the waste gases. The ash bearing waste gases pass through a combustion air heater 9, cyclone dust collector 16, the sludge mill 3 and a further cleaner 18 and induced draft fan 19 to the stack.
