Abstract

1484605 Disazo pigment NIPPON KAYAKU K K 4 Sept 1974 [6 Sept 1973 17 Sept 1973] 38720/74 Heading C4P A disazo-pigment of the general Formula (1) wherein R 1 denotes one of the groups: and R 2 is the group or the group may be prepared by condensing an azo compound of the formula: wherein Hal is a halogen atom, with a diamine of the formula H 2 N-R 2 -NH 2 . The novel pigments may be used to colour a wide variety of high molecular weight organic materials such as cellulose ethers, cellulose esters, polyurethanes, polyesters, acetyl- or nitro-cellulose, amino resins, polycarbonates, polyolefines, polyacrylonitrile, polyacrylic acid esters, gum casein, silicone and silicone resins.
