Abstract

1484602 Box TOPPAN PRINTING CO Ltd 10 July 1974 [11 July 1973] 30666/74 Heading B8P [Also in Division G5] A box is provided with a variable display pattern on at least one surface thereof; the display pattern consisting of an ordinary pattern portion and a variable pattern portion constituted by a plurality of picture elements for production of a plurality of pictures when viewed through a suitable lenticular screen; and a suitable lenticular screen having a number of cylindrical lenses formed on one side thereof adapted to be movable relative to the box surface having the variable display pattern thereon with the flat surface of the lenticular screen in contact with the box surface, whereby different pictures can be seen through the lenticular screen at different positions of the screen relative to the box. The box may be formed from a carton blank, and the lenticular screen may be either hand held (and of a size to be packed in the box) (Fig. 16, not shown), or may be mounted to slide relative to the box surface, either as a sleeve (e.g. as shown, or as per Fig. 6, not shown) or as a panel mounted between the picture and an outer, parallel wall section of the box (Fig. 13, not shown).
