148,451. Optische Anstalt C. P. Goerz Akt.-Ges. Oct. 14, 1918, [Convention date]. Arc lamps.-In a search-light, graphite lubrications is applied to the carbons where they slide through electrode heads, and also, if desired, at the driving-rollers. The electrodes may, for instance, be thinly coated with graphite by rubbing; or the graphite may be put on through the walls of the electrode heads. Wear on the electric contacts and driving rollers, and strain on the regulating mechanism, are thus reduced.
