Abstract

1482857 Trocar guides RICHARD WOLF GmbH 9 Sept 1975 [10 Sept 1974] 37138/75 Heading A5R [Also in Division F2] A trocar guide comprises a tube having a widened portion which forms a housing between the proximal and distal parts 2, 1 respectively of said tube, said housing accommodating a flap valve consisting of a steel plate 6 having a rubber pad 7 secured to the proximal side thereof, said pad having 4a portion 8 which projects beyond the plate and which is secured to said tube to form an elastic hinge, and permanent bar magnets 5 arranged peripherally in bores in an end wall of part 2 located within the housing, said magnets acting on plate 6 to maintain the valve normally closed when the pad seats on an annular ridge 9 on said end wall. Part 2 is screwed into portion 4 and has a rubber seal 10 in its proximal end to form a tight fit around articles passed through the guide to open the valve.
