Abstract

1482086 Electronic timepieces STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 28 Nov 1974 [3 Dec 1973] 55974/73 Heading G3T [Also in Division H3] An arrangement providing a low frequency output for use in timepiece oscillators &c. comprises two high frequency oscillators 1, 2 each including a thickness shear mode Piezo-electric vibrator 3, 4 and an arrangement 6 for deriving the difference frequency and a phase sensitive detector 7 for controlling the frequency f 2 of oscillator 2 such that the difference frequency is a sub-multiple of the oscillator 1 frequency f 1 . The controlled oscillator 2 may include a varactor 5 for effecting frequency control. The vibrators 3, 4 may be arranged on the same Piezo-electric substrate.
