Abstract

1481954 Counting apparatus LUCAS ELECTRICAL Ltd 26 July 1974 [10 Aug 1973] 37915/73 Heading G4D Ignition pulses from the contact breaker 15 of an I.C. engine are counted at 28 the output of the counter being decoded 29 and used to control 31 in sequence the operation of the individual injectors of a fuel injection system. The counter is reset, after 4, 6 or 8 counts according to the setting of a switch 32 dependent on the number of cylinders and also by a switch 41 driven by the cam-shaft once per cycle to ensure correct synchronism.
