Abstract

1481691 Wheel chocks ANTHONY CARRIMORE (SALES) Ltd 21 Oct 1974 [20 Oct 1973] 48971/73 Heading F2E A wheel chock intended to co-operate with a support surface 0 for a vehicle comprises a base 1, a barrier 4 carried on the base to abut a vehicle wheel, and at least one catch 10, 11 for engagement with a hole or one of a number of holes in the support surface 0. As shown, the base 1 has ends 2, 3, between which a tubular barrier 4 is located. Holes 5 in base 1 are each covered by a plate 9 through which extends part 10 of a bar 6 having a rightangled foot 11. Each bar 6 has an operating handle 14 so that when the chock is oriented above surface 0 with feet 11 each pointing downwards through a hole and handles 14 depressed, the chock may then be turned upright and the handles 14 released, whereupon the Fig. 2 position is reached with feet 11 under surface 0 and handles 14 retained by springs 15 in notches 16 in sleeves 12, 13.
