Abstract

1481350 Change-speed gear IFA GETRIEBEWERKE BRANDENBURG VEB 10 Dec 1974 [10 Dec 1973] 53276/74 Heading F2D In a gear selector mechanism in which a selector rod 9, 10 or 11 is selectively moved axially to move a gear shifting sleeve 3, 2 or 1 respectively via a respective fork 12, 13 or 14 and the rods 9,10 and 11 are moved by a slidable and rotatable cross shaft 4 having a selector arm 5 which engages entraining members 6, 7 and 8 on the rods, the rods 9, 10 and 11 are slidably journalled in a cover 27 of a casing 26 of the gear-box and the cross shaft 4 is slidably and rotatably journalled in a housing 28 on the cover. The forks 12, 13 and 14 are pivoted to the gear-box casing on pivot pins such as pins 24, 25 and are pivoted by pins 15, 16, 17 in transverse bores 18, 19, 20 in the selector rods 9, 10, 11 which engage recesses 21, 22, 23 of the forks. The arrangement shown is for a gear-box with five forward speeds and one reverse.
