Abstract

1477480 Curtains LEE LOY PLASTIC CO 19 March 1975 [20 Dec 1973] 59140/73 Heading A4S [Also in Division B6] A bead curtain comprising one or more strings of beads 3 hung side by side from an upper support (2) is provided with a plurality of shells 6 adapted to removably enclose selected beads. The shells 6 may be arranged to define a design (5) or picture on the curtain. As shown, spherical plastics beads 3 are moulded in spaced arrangement directly on to a twisted filament 4, and each shell 6 is of plastics and comprises two complementary hemispheres 6a, 6b press fitted together by a lip 7 and projections 7a of shell 6a engaging in a recess 8 and depressions 8a in shell 6b. The shells may be irregularly shaped, Fig. 3, (not shown). The upper head (3a) is trapped by clamping elements (2a, 2b) of the support (2). In a modification, beads may be strung on a filament, and may be in contact with one another or separated by knots in the filament or by spacers.
