Abstract

1473662 Conveyer-belt rollers H D SHARMAN 7 May 1974 [8 May 1973] 21841/73 Heading B8A [Also in Division A1] In a poultry battery cage having a droppings belt beneath the or each tier of cages a roller assembly for guiding each belt, comprises a sleeve 10 supported by a central plate 16 through which a stationary spindle 12 passes. An aperture for the spindle is rounded, at 18, to enable the sleeve 10 to rock on the spindle. The extent to which the sleeve can rock is limited by apertures in end plates 20 through which the spindle passes. Wandering of belt B on the sleeve is automatically limited. In a modification, Fig. 5 (not shown), a ball bearing (22) is provided between the spindle and the plate (16).
