Abstract
1473324 Grinding lens DOLLOND & AITCHISON SERVICES Ltd 20 May 1974 [27 April 1973] 12667/76 Divided out of 1473321 Heading B3D The subject-matter of the present Specification is included in that of Specification 1,473,321 and the main claim is directed to the apparatus for applying a locator to a lens blank in a selected positional relationship to a mark present on the blank, the apparatus comprising sighting means through which the mark can be viewed, supporting means for the blank and means for applying the locator to the blank while on the supporting means, the locator applying means being adjustable relative to the sighting means in a direction parallel to a reference plane which is perpendicular to the optical axis of the blank when the apparatus is in use, and the locator applying means also being adjustable angularly relative to the sighting means about an axis perpendicular to the reference plane, the supporting means being movable relative to the locator applying means in a direction along the adjustment axis to apply the locator to the lens blank.
