1472092 Absorption apparatus HOECHST AG 28 June 1974 [30 June 1973] 48356/76 Divided out of 1472091 Heading B1L Ammonia is separated from the exhaust gas from a copying machine by means of an apparatus comprising an absorption vessel (2) of the plate or packed column type having an exhaust gas inlet (14 via 12) a liquid absorbing medium inlet (11 via 9), a liquid outlet (15) and a gas outlet (17); the vessel being surrounded by a cooling jacket zone (3) which is connected to a cooling unit (22) and an outer jacket zone (4) subdivided by a partition (6) into an upper pre-cooling zone for absorbing medium and a lower pre-cooling zone for the exhaust gas.
