Abstract

1471465 Vaginal medicator H H GROVES 4 June 1974 24685/74 Heading A5R A vaginal medicator, Figs. 1d and 1b, comprises an elongated stem 12 of non-soluble material which carries medicament 22, for extending along substantially the entire length of the vaginal canal to the cervix, a non- soluble anchoring moss 14 for retention outwardly of the constricting muscles at the entrance to the vaginal canal and a pullout string 16. The anchoring moss may be either spherical or cylindrical, and the pullout string may be replaced by an extension of the stem through the anchoring moss. The stem and the anchoring moss may each be hollow and liquid permeable, for housing the medicament Fig. 7d, the stem may be looped for encircling the cervix, Figs. 7d, 9b and may additionally carry a web 60, Fig. 9b, for carrying the medicament.
