Abstract

1470618 Fungicidal composition IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 9 Jan 1976 [24 Jan 1975] 3185/75 Heading A5E A fungicidal composition comprises a solid, water insoluble fungicide having an average particle size not exceeding 50Á dispersed in an aqueous solution of a pyrimidine fungicide salt, at a pH not above 2.5, and a dispersing agent which comprises (i) a specified cationic surface active quaternary ammonium salt and (ii) an amphiphilic compound. Suitable amphiphilic compounds include aliphatic and ethoxylated aliphatic alcohols, amines, acids, amides, amino acids and sulphones. The preferred pyrimidine salt has the formula wherein R1, R2 and R3' which may be the same or different, are H, alkyl or alkenyl of 1-4 C atoms and R4 is alkyl or alkenyl of 3-5 C atoms. The preferred solid fungicide is N(l, 1, 2, 2-tetrachloromethylthio)-3a, 4, 7, 7atetrahydrophthalamide or N-(trichloromethylthio) 3a, 4, 7, 7a tetrahydrophthalimide.
