Abstract

1470520 Clamps R A H HEARD 5 July 1974 [10 July 1973] 32946/73 Headings E2A and E2B [Also in Division G5] An article 10, such as a sign, is mounted on a post 16 by means of a band 20 of high tensile material passed around the post and through a pair of apertured attachment members 18 attached to the article, the strap being tightened and the ends secured together. The members 18 comprise body parts 22 apertured at 24 to receive the band, marginal portions 26 of the body parts being turned towards each other to seat against the surface of the post. As shown, the sign 10 is provided with a channel member 12 and the members 18 have ears 32 which engage under lips 14 of the member 12.
