Abstract
1470013 Pressurized dispenser valves AEROSOL INVENTIONS & DEVELOPMENT SA 3 Dec 1975 [18 Dec 1974] 54743/74 Heading F1R Opening movement of a dispenser valve is prevented when the container is in an upright position by means which obtrude into the path of movement of the valve but which moves aside under the action of gravity when the container is tilted. As shown the valve has a peg 9, axial movement of which is obstructed by a ball 13 lying on the downwardly convergent floor 11. Tilting the container allows the ball to roll clear of the peg 9 and the valve may then be opened and held open when the container is returned to the upright position. In place of the convergent floor, tracks necessitating tilting in a set direction may be used. The obstruction may be disposed in the valve housing itself and the valve may engage the obstruction directly.
