Abstract

1469188 Educational apparatus XEROX CORP 18 April 1974 [20 April 1973] 17038/74 Heading G5G Educational apparatus comprises a simulator board 1 having a plurality of jack sockets 11 identified by graphic indicia corresponding to questions related to the subject matter under study and posed by audiovisual instruction means (not shown); an equal number of jack sockets 12 associated with graphic indicia representing correct responses to said questions, each socket 11 being electrically connected to that socket 12 which defines the relative correct response; a first probe 14 for insertion into one of the sockets 11 in response to a given instruction identifying a particular question; a second probe 15 for insertion into one of the sockets 12 to select an aswer to the question; indicator lamps 17, 18; and a check switch 16 which, after the question has been answered, is depressed to complete a circuit either to energize either lamp 17 for a correct response, or lamp 18 for an incorrect response. The board 1 may be provided with a supply transformer, and the audiovisual instruction means may include audio tape recordings with associated slides or film strips. Automotive, electrical, aircraft and medical technology, the physical sciences and classical school subjects are mentioned, with others, as areas of study suitable for the practice of the invention.
