Abstract
146,833. Worthington Pump & Machinery Corporation, (Assignees of Haeborlein, M.). July 5, 1919, [Convention date]. Centrifugal governors; transmitting-mechanism. - A centrifugal governor comprises a rotating spindle 5, a non-rotating collar 19 slidably and loosely mounted on the spindle and connected by levers 21 to the speed-controlling means and by a rotating sleeve 24, pin 26, and link 17 to a plate 13 actuated by the governor weights. The sleeve 24 is clear of the spindle, and the sleeve 19 is in two parts connected by bolts &c. The weight levers 15 may be pivoted on arms 8 carried by a plate 7 on the spindle 5, and the governor is controlled by a spring between the plate 13 and an adjustable cap 11.
