Abstract

1465793 Vehicle head-lamp wipers CIBIE PROJECTEURS 13 May 1974 [16 May 1973] 21069/74 Heading A4F A wiper system for cleaning substantially the whole of the lens 3 of a vehicle head-lamp comprises a driving means, e.g. motor M and pivot 4, for transmitting a reciprocating rotary movement to a wiper assembly comprising two wiper elements 1, 2 joined end to end by a joint 5 which allows limited pivoting movement (α) therebetween such that, as shown, the wiper assembly adopts different shapes at the limits of its movement. More than two wiper elements may be used. As shown the driving means is attached to one end of the wiper assembly, but may alternatively be connected to the joint 5. Steps 6 may be provided to ensure that the angle α is reversed at the limits of movement of the wiper assembly should the joint 5 be or become tight.
